Why KURALON™ improves mortar and concrete performance?

Point01 Effective Crack Control and Flexural Performance

KURALON™ contains hydroxyl groups (OH) that chemically bond with the cement matrix during hydration.
This strong affinity helps improve flexural performance and crack resistance, enabling the design of thinner, lighter, and more durable concrete products.

Point02 Excellent Dispersion and Workability

KURALON™ disperses uniformly throughout the cement matrix during mixing, reducing fiber clumping and variability in workability. This helps enable consistent quality and improved production efficiency.

Point03 High Durability in Harsh Environments

KURALON™ offers excellent alkali resistance, enabling the fibers to maintain their reinforcing performance over the long term even in the highly alkaline environment of cementitious materials.

In cold climates, repeated freeze–thaw cycles cause moisture within concrete to expand and contract, creating microscopic voids and cracks that gradually deteriorate the internal structure.
Thanks to its strong adhesion to the cement matrix, KURALON™ bridges these microcracks and voids, helping to suppress the progression of internal damage.
As a result, it can help provide high durability and long-term performance under freeze–thaw conditions.
